Esperance grower Simon Stead is CBH’s newest director after successully winning election in District 5.ESPERANCE farmer Simon Stead will replace former chairman Neil Wandel on the CBH Board after the results of this year’s director elections were released today.
Mr Stead was running against Dunn Rock farmer Andrew Duncan in District 5, after the seat became available when Mr Wandel announced his intention to retire from the board last year.
In District 1, Brian McAlpine, Latham, retained his seat in the election against Michael O’Callaghan, Marchagee, Lindsay Chappel, Three Springs and Romina Nicoletti, Bonnie Rock.
In District 3, current director John Hassell, Pingelly, also retained his seat in the election against Rhys Turton, York.
The formal declaration of directors will take place at the CBH Group’s 82nd Annual General Meeting on Monday, February 23. The AGM is open to all registered CBH Group members.
