STILL HERE: Members of Bathurst Lions Club at the Farmers’ Markets at the Bathurst Showground are here to stay.THE Bathurst Lions Club Farmers’ Markets is here to stay.
The confirmation comes following the decision by the AH&P Association to cancel its own regular Sunday markets until further notice.
“Due to circumstances outside our control, the showground marketsconducted by our association arecancelled immediately until further notice,” a Facebook post on the AH&P website stated.
“We have every intention ofconducting a significant market on the Saturday of the long weekend in October and hopefully another in early December. We will update you as these details are finalised.”
A similar announcement was also made on local radio.
Since the announcement, theorganisers of the Lions Club Farmers’ Markets have been fielding calls from concerned residents and stallholders who feared it had been cancelled.
What has caused the confusion is unknown to Bathurst Lions Clubpresident Mal Purves, but he wants to reassure market attendees that it will continue to be held regularly throughout the year.
“Possibly, some people are confused because they did not know there was a Bathurst Family Market,” he said.
“Or, it just could be that the name is similar to Bathurst Farmers’ Market and the 30-second interview did not provide enough distinction between the two.”
The Lions Club Farmers’ Markets are held on the fourth Saturday of each month at Bathurst Showground,
however it will relocate to Lions Berry Park temporarily for the scheduled September 26 market.
“The September 26 Bathurst Farmers’ Market will be held in Lions Berry Park, due to the Bathex Collectables Expo being held at the showground over the Saturday and Sunday,” Mr Purves said.
“The market will run from 8am until noon – our usual hours.”
Next month the Lions Club Farmers’ Markets will return to Bathurst Showground as normal. Visit 苏州美甲美睫培训学校 bathurstfarmersmarket苏州美甲美睫培训学校419论坛.
